Privacy Policy for PunyCoder.com
On your queries to the IDN/punycode converter
I don't believe Apache logs the content of POST requests, but if it does -- I am not aware where to retrieve it and I am not interested in that information. You can also rest assured that your queries to the converter are not logged in the scripts. Even though privacy policies usually are about caveating the information that is logged, I felt the need to write about this, as I know there have been instances where certain businesses or individuals that provide services to domainers have taken advantage of their information.
Now on to the information that PunyCoder.com and its advertiser(s) do store...
Log files
Like that of many other Web sites, the backend Web server software powering PunyCoder.com keeps log files about the activity in its system. The information inside the log files may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, and referring/exit pages.
Third party advertiser(s)
PunyCoder.com employs advertisements from one or more third party ad networks. These third-party ad servers or ad networks automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) may also be used by the third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see.
PunyCoder.com has no access to or control over cookies or information that is used by third-party advertisers. Therefore this privacy policy does not apply to, and PunyCoder.com cannot control the activities of, such other advertisers or Web sites. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt-out of certain practices.
- Google AdSense
Google AdSense uses cookies as part of the technology to serve ads to you on this Web site. The DART cookie enables Google Adsense to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other Web sites, and/or other factors.
You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy at the following URL: http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html.
Google may change its methods and information gathering at any time and require site owners to change their privacy policies yet again, so here's another caveat:
Google may or may not do whatever it wants with you and/or your computer and/or your extended family. Cavity searches, background checks, it doesn't matter. Google is a big corporation and we are mere mortals.
